Fever

I Lay alone in bed
Fever running through my head
Curtains closed, colors drained
Candle dim, falling rain

Pale skin cold and gaunt
Final breath before I'm gone
Sure to be a raspy one
Silent curse, fading sun

O fever that took my life
In Death I sleep
O earth recieve me now
Bury me six feet

O fever that took my life
In Death I sleep
O earth recieve me now
Bury me six feet

I lay alone in bed
Pillow stained with sweat
Sickness lingers in the room
Air is stale beneath the gloom

Flies swarm to the light
Decay takes deep inside
Lifeless husk, empty shell
Soul departed one that fell

O fever that took my life
In Death I sleep
O earth recieve me now
Bury me six feet

O fever that took my life
In Death I sleep
O earth recieve me now
Bury me six feet
