check point
I can tell that your dying,
crying
and denying.
on the surface your cool and calm
with a front
that must
come down,
crumble round.
I can tell that your screaming,
weak knees shivering
your afraid and broken
in your heart your no longer looking,
for comfort and caring,
so you sit staring
into a void
and all you see is mass destruction
your fighting,
your lying,
i can see what your hiding
it's no secret
I can see the white powder in your rolled 5 dollar bill.
I can see how incapable it is for you to just sit still.
do you not recognize you hurt more than just you?
I was there to help
i cared how you felt,
every day sat by your side as you angrily yelled
cause thats how you dealt.
and I was okay when you was in my face and blaming me
when the next day you dreaded to see.
so take another sip,
down another bottle.
I'm holding onto your sanity
and your holding onto a straw.
I'm trying to change you,
save you from the devil
tear you from the deadened grip of a short euphoria.
But what should I care?
I broke away unharmed?
why should I stay,
just to save this broken race
of corruption and hurt,
of the assumed dead or worse.
your to the check point,
looks like there's no turning back.
so here you lay in the cold, hard dirt.
and I have tears
for something you never felt.
Love was that elusion we laughed at,
then it was real.
then it was gone.
Oh God I thought I'd save you.
Oh dear do I miss you.
but were the devil's play piece.
Never was you to feel at ease.
crying
and denying.
on the surface your cool and calm
