Might as Well (go Burn in Hell)
Drinkin' tears and blood
like cheap whiskey, mixing
it with a little coke,
gets me going
in the morning.
It gets my head
wanting more.
Might as well have
another hangover
before breakfast.
Might as well
go burn in Hell
because,
I suppose,
they're ain't
nothing
better to do.
Might as well
do whatever
I can, to make sure
I don't turn out
like my old man.
I want to be a painter,
he was a lawyer. I
smoke weed,
He'd call it
"marijuana" cause he's
one smart little fucker
like that.
Sometimes, when I'm
high, an angel
with the face of
the devil, flies straight
down from heaven.
He says to me, "boy,"
with a voice sounding
just like my old man.
"Stop with all these
pills. You're going to
get yourself killed."
With a hell of a
scream, my voice like
thunder in my brain,
"that's the fucking
point, dad. Now, go
back to Hell."
The angel shrugs. It
gives up. Just like my
old man gave up on
me long ago. I used
to be his little boy,
now I'm just a stranger.
Might as well
go burn in Hell
because,
I suppose,
they're ain't
nothing
better to do.
I've got to numb this
pain in my brain
before I go fuckin'
insane. Before I
waste away, I pop
another pill, smoke another
joint, down a little vodka,
and go away for
a while. A long while.
Might as well
go burn in Hell
because,
I suppose,
they're ain't
nothing
better to do.
