Elliptical Eyes

why these obsidian cataracts in my eyes?
filled with a desire, a lust that no mortal
shall ever be graced the pleasure to feel.

why was i created, to live in this alternate world?
left floating upon this breeze as if
a single black rose in the perpetual Garden of Eden.

marked by those unfaithful, who are gathered 'round
my needs, my dreams never to be free, so close to perfection
living within this black mirror as a reflection.

i weep only in fancy, that my tears may purify
my sight, but specters of love and serenity remain
captive behind a veil of obscurity.

my scars will always remain,
the wounds will never heal,
they tell the stories never to be heard.
