she abused, used
used to be a rose, full bloom...now blown
now, un-grown
you know that's how it goes
when the funk between the toes creeps out
with the undertones now being fully grown
they leaps out
polished yet nailed; bad it smelled
reflections of that hell
that inevitable withering on the vine
scorched
and the mind races
gone on towards it's…voided conclusion
the scorn of it's own thorns
can't make restitution and the pricks
they’ve taken advantage
its a disadvantage being yesterday's favorite fragrance
now perceived as a vagrant
a rose
by any other name
certainly becomes still.

Well done poem. You certainly follow your image (metaphors) consistently. I especially like the line: "its a disadventage being yesterday's favorite fragrance . . ." remember the it's instead of "its." Ok? You are a remarkable poet who has a story to tell and sticks to the story without digressing. Remarkable job.

No matter the desecent, they ascend into our consciousness, and always remain a bloom to some degree.
Life can disfigure delicacy, turn the most sanctimonious angels into shadows clad in the abscence of light.
its not darkness, its more like death.
That stillness at the end was very much felt.
