Mesmerized

You have me mesmerized  
first time writing poetry that doesn't rhyme
at least not all the time
Those things used to matter before
now they don't anymore
Im just observing you
watching what you do
I have to
its the only way ill have a clue
and you know why
because youre awfully shy
so I keep it a secret
that youre my guy
We're just special kinda friends
who's playtime never ends
and you teach me things too
like how to stop rhyming all the time
how poetry is just my own rhythmic flow
and I can go slow
if I want to
whatever my delight
is alright with you
that's why Im so mesmerized
