Tears of Black

Tears of black fall as I cry
trails running down my cheek
hard to breathe, I start to shake
sobbing so hard I can't speak
Tears of black escape my eyes
my sorrows grip upon my soul
dread hangs on to me tightly
as I fight to gain control
Tears of black hide the dark secrets
that will haunt me as I sleep
and torture my subconscious thoughts
and cause my heart to weep
Tears of black may some day dry up
so that the world no longer sees
but those scars that caused their shedding
remain as one of my mysteries
Tears of black fell as I cried
but love helped wipe them away
my sorrows tucked inside for now
where I pray that they will stay
