God's Unwanted Son
I wanted to destroy something beautiful.
My father cast me to the floor,
with hatred in his eyes.
He'd seen the future in his ball,
and saw through all my lies.
I am the serpent in the tree,
that passed the Apple on to Eve.
And to Adam I gave naught but sin,
passing time waiting for life to begin.
I blossom wings and halo glow
to hide the bleeding horn,
and beyond my self obsession
I will don my crown of thorn.
God is not within me,
of that this one is sure.
God has nothing for me,
he has shown me the door.
The crystals of the Heavens
shall not glimmer in my eyes,
for they are not but glass to me,
glass painted prettily with lies.
I took a man so perfect,
and made him so impure.
A child with the world to love,
and tore him from the cure.
I took a boy so close to life,
and stabbed him in the heart.
I am the Messiah masquerading to the part.
I wanted to destroy something beautiful.
My father cast me to the floor,
with hatred in his eyes.
He'd seen the future in his ball,
and saw through all my lies.
I am the serpent in the tree,
that passed the Apple on to Eve.
And to Adam I gave naught but sin,
passing time waiting for life to begin.
I blossom wings and halo glow
to hide the bleeding horn,
and beyond my self obsession
I will don my crown of thorn.
God is not within me,
of that this one is sure.
God has nothing for me,
