She's Sharing Space
I'd love for you to trust me,
and one day I hope you can.
I'm tired of being the broken boy,
when I'm born to be the better man.
Giving up the ghost,
shutting it away.
I'm locking out my demons,
and I'm praying for my day.
They whisper to me through the veil,
their scent is on the wind,
they scathe the walls with bloodied nails,
those creatures I have sinned.
I look at them with hatred,
they are my company.
To them I am a father,
to you I'm lost at sea.
I needed them before you,
I needed them so bad.
They carried me through darkness,
my demons; all I had.
Sharing space so silently,
soft singing standing still.
My misanthropy shot dead,
that night that you saved me from the chill.
and one day I hope you can.
I'm tired of being the broken boy,
when I'm born to be the better man.
Giving up the ghost,
shutting it away.
I'm locking out my demons,
and I'm praying for my day.
They whisper to me through the veil,
their scent is on the wind,
they scathe the walls with bloodied nails,
those creatures I have sinned.
I look at them with hatred,
they are my company.
To them I am a father,
to you I'm lost at sea.
I needed them before you,
I needed them so bad.
They carried me through darkness,
my demons; all I had.
Sharing space so silently,
soft singing standing still.
My misanthropy shot dead,
that night that you saved me from the chill.
