Living to Die
I was born to save a life
And that life sure as heck ain't mine.
I was born so I could die
And someone else could live after I'm no longer alive.
I've come to accept it, there's no avoiding it,
So why can't you let me go?
I've come to be ready, now it's time my friend,
So hold my hand and you'll know
That I want this knife in my throat,
Don't try to take it out, it's no use,
That I'm not scared so you need to let go,
Don't hold on any longer, the one I'm saving is you.
I'm saving you from the monster I would have become, my dear,
I plunge this blade into myself because I love you.
I'm saving you from the monster I already am, my dear,
I do this because I know I can't stop myself and you can't stop too.
