Ocean Side Mission
The daisies sway in the wind;
The petals quickly fly by.
She lowers her head in sin,
Forgetting to look to the sky.
The ocean closes in,
Wrapping around her feat.
The shame bubbles within,
She lays in bitter defeat.
The water pulls her in,
She bobs in the gentle sway.
Across her face is a grin,
She has finally gotten a say.
Swept away by the current;
She closes her eyes so easily.
Losing herself in the torrent,
Falling asleep so carelessly.
With an empty head she drifts,
The water keeps her afloat.
Ripples quicken, her body lists;
Water rushes down her throat.
Slowly she helplessly sinks,
Water wraps her like a blanket.
The salty beverage she drinks,
Vagabond into her watery casket.
She dreams of a life as a shadow,
Far better than her own.
Such a life bitter and hollow;
No true emotions shown.
The sea kisses away her tears.
She replays the horrid day,
Little and afraid, people she fears.
such a tragedy, she walked astray.
So many attempts failed,
So many nights cried.
Her true self sealed and jailed,
Her tears have yet to be dried.
Beatings made her heart stone;
She continues to regress.
The ocean has her, she is home.
Saved, more or less.
Her soul swims with the fish,
Gleeful and so free;
She starts to feel foolish.
Forgot she died under the sea.
Many years have passed,
With the fish she coexists.
She forgot her task;
She wanted to be missed.
