Easy, As Arduous Can Be

Easy, as arduous can be
Even for amateur novices like me
To ink, the opposite of obvious
...Ambiguously...
Promising, to turn Pro
Free...As though, I was an ex-Con first
And the last one to know
That I was destined to ride...
In the back of a hearse
From the day of my birth
To the night where I lurk
...With the darkness...
There...I just flirt with the light
I just search for a fight
Then I find peace
When I'm high as a kite
'Til I'm low as the tide
When, it goes to hide, and recede to the sea

Easy, as arduous can be
...I breathe
'Til my lungs refuse oxygen
Then I'll be deceased
But...Shit! I'm an optimist
With a pessimist's ch'i
Garnished by a hint, of effervescent glee
While what lies underneath, can be flat & discouraging
And in spite of the suffering
I find comfort in it...
Deep in the pit, of my unknown
The shallow place, where I ponder, when I think of home
I reminisce about my roommates
Wishing I lived alone
My tenuous relationship with both, Love & Hate
Being not much different
One makes a living and pays the rent
While the other claims squatter's rights and dares me to evict
I just carelessly vent
Silently responsible
Easy, as arduous can be
