Reality Speaks

 Sitting in my silence, with bending thoughts of you
Memories so sweet, how bitter they are,
So long ago
Not yet far

Misery and pain fades away
But walks with the memories
Of our yesterday

Fate was our belief
For what we shared
Two stars in the night
Merging together in flight

We walked the same paths in life
Many miles
And years apart
Only to find each other and make our start

How I believed you were the one
My knight
My king
My Shining Sun

Plato’s theory at its best
We would write our history
Put love to its test

How real my disappointment
When you walked away
A lifetime in the making
Ended in just a day

The ripping sensation from my chest
As my heart burst from emotional distress

Intense were the days
I cried myself to sleep
Wishing, praying, dying
Without a word
Without a peep

In my darkness I remained silent and so discreet

My heart jaded began to wilt
Leaving me in my angry world
Dealing with what I felt





I died that day but was reborn to hope
“Life goes on” filled my thoughts, as my reality spoke

To love again seemed so unreal
A mere teasing figment of the untrue

Shall I take the chance to fall
With the dreamy hope of having it all

The pain still fresh inside my mind
Cheating me like a cancer
Driving me blind

Simple pleasures I can not see
I dare not open up
To let another
Open up
To love me

How beautiful is the one who can embrace life for its highs and lows
Making it a learning experience
However it goes

In time
This anger will pass
This hurt will fade

My destiny will prevail
And I will unite
With my true mate

My path to walk
Or just plain fate
At that time, I will begin my life
With the one
I shall call “Soulmate”
