LIKE SNOW... I FALL    

   
into the night    
away i flow    
deeper there    
in trance    
like snow    
i fall    
snowflake footsteps    
soft as down    
quietly touch me    
as all the world    
seems    
out of town    
shrunk away    
like t v screens    
all black squares now    
black    
to weigh down    
more blank space    
in which    
to dream    
like night and day    
im lost    
and found    
in dreams    
beyond    
the constant ticking    
sound of clock    
above    
unseen    
on wall behind me    
and intermittent    
cricketing    
outside in    
the vast    
dark wilds of night    
two hands    
at three    
as three bells ring    
these words    
touch down    
like so many others    
before them    
yet still    
these silent    
footsteps fall    
softly searching    
in the snow    
of this white pages    
yearning here    
as deeper there    
in trance i go    
like snow    
i fall    
to release    
these clinging ghosts    
of overcrowded    
fears    
and sorrows    
in other dreams    
beyond this night    
far beyond    
this relentless world    
i choose to not    
nor can    
no longer follow    
much less    
can hardly bear    
nor wish  
nor want    
to even live in  
too much longer  
anymore    
as it is
the way it has  
so sadly  
now  
become
