Postponing The Inevitable
I know my fate,
It's written all over your face,
On the tip of your tongue,
Yet I refuse to let go.
What was the point?
Your glamour is wearing thin,
Not a starstruck child anymore,
I'll no longer get drunk on your fame.
I try to talk,
But your silence is too loud,
I know you've given up,
But I can't let you go.
You tell me nobody understands,
You're losing everyone,
Well, you pushed me away,
You won't let anyone in.
If you really miss me,
Like you say you do,
Then prove it,
Before I leave for good.
It's written all over your face,
On the tip of your tongue,
Yet I refuse to let go.
What was the point?
Your glamour is wearing thin,
Not a starstruck child anymore,
I'll no longer get drunk on your fame.
I try to talk,
But your silence is too loud,
I know you've given up,
But I can't let you go.
You tell me nobody understands,
You're losing everyone,
Well, you pushed me away,
You won't let anyone in.
If you really miss me,
Like you say you do,
Then prove it,
Before I leave for good.
