Mommy Dearest

Tell me what you see,
when you fly away into your thoughts.
Is the world dark and cold?
Or just a little bit brighter?
Tell me what you feel,
when you fall into the clouds of destruction.
Does it hurt just a little bit more?
Or does it numb everything you tore open?
Has your world crashed down to slightly more than nothing?
Or are you stronger than ever?
Conquering societies world with just one more snort.
One more high.
Just one more pill.
Tell me mommy dearest,
is it worth it?
Are those pills really worth it?
Do they amount to my love for you?
Is it really equal?
Are you happier this way?
I hope you're happy.
I hope you smile everyday.
No more pain for you, mommy dearest.
No more tears and no more worries.
Because you see when you left, I took all that from you.
So please, be happy. Take your pills.
Smile again, every day,
because I love you, mommy dearest.
