Don't Be Afraid
Everything will be okay.
The doctor would say to himself.
And no one else.
As he rushed over to a girl in the operating room.
Blood, blood everywhere.
On the floors, on the chairs.
The walls, throughout the halls.
All over the operating table.
Her vital signs dropped.
Everyone in the room stopped.
And saw that she was no longer stable.
But when was she?
Even when she was able?
He ran for the defibrillator.
Hoping to God that he could save her.
But he was wrong.
She was dead and gone.
He screamed.
The family cried.
But she never really died.
If she was never living.
To begin with.
