OMNILIGHT
So far from home
Balanced between twin suns and wonder
And the gravity holding me
Yet pulling me asunder
And an omnilight
Like liberty
Like the parakeets of west London
Or a statue in the sea
Touched by a sun's caress
Brighter than a greatness
Is goodness
Brighter than goodness
Is a kindness
Fierce as suns' caress
Balanced between twin suns and wonder
And the gravity holding me
Yet pulling me asunder
And an omnilight
Like liberty
Like the parakeets of west London
Or a statue in the sea
Touched by a sun's caress
Brighter than a greatness
Is goodness
Brighter than goodness
Is a kindness
Fierce as suns' caress

LOOMINATION
A stick can not catch a butterfly
Nor can your net let it fly
For that golden leaf of summer
Was but a fly
Long before the Fall
And as for fallen
What revenge pays more
Than time it steals
And time the greatest thief of all
Draws dreams from streams
Steamed and hung on strings
For a love anisotropic
Where do I
Exist for you
As you exist for me
Where dark matter matters
Where your fragile love shatters
And casts your earth spinning
Into vastness
...

SOLSTICE
Only now it's dark
Can the moon shine
Only when the moon
Shines can I see the dark
As they sleep
I wake
Early light on stream billows in air ripples
Over the nettles
Wake the sleeping muntjac skips skyward
And disappears
And cows and bees muzz and crow cuckle
My nose so rich with waking grasses lilacs
Whites drying their broomheads
Their blooms rubbing their eyes
And the finches chat morning dreams
Of driving cars and building roads
And golden Ra becomes a...

TINPAN
Having been evicted from home
And my girlfriend pursuing other avenues
Let me see where this path goes
Its hedgerow's fine shade and what's to lose
And the trees laden with sweet fruit
Are we born to wander
And wonder where love is
The way winds grievous mountains
Climbs sheep tracks to the constellations
As if the universe was expanding
Rather than here all at once one big soup
Bubbling infinitely interdimensionally
Stirred by my open hand happily waving
As if goodbye
Was just a word

PASSAGE
Beyond the door of No Return
Foot blooded sand clotted
Baptised in bilge and vomit still
Someone's daughter on my shoulder
Broken by soldiers raped by sailors
Her body on mine like irons on wood
Neither on land nor in water
Not alive nor yet dead
how will the gods ever find her
When they threw her from the ship
Her baby swam from her loins
And became me
Her needy ghosts came
Her chains gnawing my ankles daily
Never giving up never give up
oh gods free me from these ghosts
Piled...

SHIMMER
What was first
The rising sun or birdsong
Or my dreaming and cold wood and breeze
Fresh and rolled coat for my head
What's more perfect in this world
Than this park bench
And the birds that whistle wake up wake up
And shout till the sun comes in
Was it my words that willed in the sun
And my mind that made the time
And the roof top pool girls
Who roll their Rs and hips
Or the scarred and puking lips
At the accident and emergency
Each urge and urgency merges
Emerges into a light that twinkles ...

FOSSILISED
We were tyrannosaur wrecks
Then sand and
A fang found fossilised
From my rancid mouth
An abscess gnawed by excess
Wisdom excavated by archeology
a tooth is lost if the root is lost
We lost our truth and we would lie
Our cheekbones slotted eye to eye
Holy in our stink for seven days
We saw each other as we stared skyward
Yet the sunlight on the left
Made the right side darker
And the four a.m. lamp light
Cast shadows
As we searched floorboards for nuggets
For the gin run
all is...

SAVAGERY
There the rigid tremble
Where the fragile hold tight
Framed by a morning not yet dawn
And a strutting stork with beating wings
Heartless beats to a savagery of footsteps
An early blue tit bobs the wind like words
Sung furiously at daylight
hay-ho hay-oh let them go
Heavens there's another violin
Cat gut strings gnawing at a cold fish
In the centre of an empty bed
I wonder if we ever made love
Or was it just powder and make up
And shouting
Shouting to one too far gone to call back
...

BETWIXT
Flesh of beasts birds and men
Wake with the sun
Sleep with her fall
Knowing she will come again
And how we pain each other
Lovage and clover
Cloven hoof lover
Till love comes back again
Evolving amoeba solace within
Raiments of longing
Melting icicle spikes
In raven dark and dankly driven
Go with the grain of the pines
Flow of fault lines
You were fashioned
For something other than this
Follow the flaw of the Great Rift
Fire hewn by fire raw
Paths apple mapped ...

CHOCOLATE
Dry mouth as the cocoa
Baking on banana leaves
The burden of a cloudless sky
On air sweet as sugar cane
Beans crushed
Water from the wadi
Pound to paste
Don't waste these alien pods
They'll burn a fire
And the brown boot man
Will give a day
To tend the plot of rice
And he will stay
With the blank eyed girls
Their hands as rough
As this viper grass
The split discarded husks
Born in this field
Die in this field eager for heaven ...

POMEGRANATE
Who is this with the huge green fan
Fanning pilgrims shining
Shrineward
Who is this with the mad raging eyes
Shading the burning rays
Shooing beggars keeping flies away
As I bow in prayer
And lift hands soaked in the offering of roses
It's petal scent the sweat of my pores
Who is this in the ragged homespun
Keeping us as the light falls
And bell rings and lanterns lit
Who is this who has no words
Teaching the holy axioms
His naked feet cleaned
In the whirl wind dust
His skin charcoaled waiting...
