Petals shaped like serum

Scattered so neatly, like a perfectly made bed

Cushioning the landscape with their treacherous tranquility

Afield from nirvana, but safe and sound from the gates of hell

A place to meet again, beyond the moon and rain

Where eyes stay closed, shielded from the bright blue sky

Of firework and ground
Of the incompatible
Of the perfectly matched chaos
We maintain our optimistic noise
For it is not a mindset, but an instinct
For neglect is our most powerful tool
Not fists, not deflect, nor rebellion
Healthy for the mind, but not the stakes
Once realized, it will be too late
