A tear I urge for you my dear,
Barren beyond reason breaks,
To crack these wasteland slits so dry,
Lend mercy at the gates.

To crack these wasteland slits so dry,
Lend mercy at the gates.

Brain Stew
Midnight murdered my mind
Muttered misuses
My mental declined
meddling morgue murmures
Mirroring its crime
Beneath savored watch or fermented incline
Cleverly sat sipping the reddest of wine.

Before me
Girl in the window,
Pale moon eyes,
Stuck in a moment,
Never to be revised,
Crimson soaked tales read like this,
Glimpses at a past that has since ceased to
exist,
I look at you now,
Not as I did back when,
I'm not sitting in the cold,
From the outside looking in,
As time goes on,
The past starts to blend,
Until they all become one,
They're gone,
The end.

Patchwork
We are all abominations,
Gnashing our teeth and tearing at our clothes,
Letting the quaking of our knees give way to the hatred that flows,
Spilling deep crimson as we rob the freedom of those we oppose.
Speaking to maim, speaking to gain
We drip the hot poison,
Dose after dose,
Is this what we boast?
A fractured land that once reigned supreme,
Waving her vivid colors for all to see,
Oh, sweet independence we relish thee,
From coast to coast,
From sea to shining sea,
Has everything that we’ve fought for gone to disease?
Defeated we...

Flipflops or Thongs
Mind over matter,
that's what they always said,
I've been struggling with the later,
ignoring the voices in my head,
why can't I look with my heart before I look with my eyes,
the warmth of you skin conflicts with the cold of your lies,
don't think for a second that I'm a fool for you,
when I'm just a fool for this situation,
vanity is the downfall of this century,
and you're letting it go to you're head,
stop smothering me with that sorry excuse for a smile,
I'm sick and tired of being mislead.

Likely Story
Kindling within the shrine of soul,
I hold the key to a world all my own,
Because below there is only room to grow,
Roots to branches,
Time will show,
How the seeds that were planted became something whole.

Set the Table
Abused privilege,
Or a microcosm of something much worse,
You claim divine intervention with your lesser renditions of faith,
Hands folded to cover both of our eyes,
Cowering,
Vulnerable,
Sightless,
Three times I counted,
These things I cannot comprehend,
In this Ignorant self indulgence,
Prodigal delusions are envisioned.
Alas, your allure is wasted on me,
Mentor me not with your false tongues,
You may be blind,
But I can see.

Five Multicolored Hoops
Linger in that moment,
Find that place that you call home,
Get lost in that space in time,
Sit atop your closed book throne,
Impenetrable walls are only a challenge,
Crumbling under the humble footfalls of the wise,
Their inadequacies they’ve symbolized,
In these cracks in their foundations,
That they refuse hide,
Unwilling to let their shortcomings be their demise,
Because realizing weakness isn’t the discovery of failure,
Fatal flaws are only deadly if they’re overlooked,
Those who see this clearly,
Will look back on those they overtook.

Its three AM and I can't sleep,
My feet ache and I think I have a cavity,
My callused hands going through great lengths not to remain parallel, old habits die hard I guess, but I know I'm blessed, I know I can reach out and take anything that I wish, but I don't want to steal your heart, I won't wear that mask, I'd rather ask for it nicely, but you've gone away, I carved a notch in my wall for every day you've been missing , i'm going through motions, blurry eyed with messed up hair, did you forget that I'm here, biding my time, claiming indifference, I'll brake this bottle on the...

Open Space
I am neither side of the cover,
The illustration on the front does not match its description on the back,
Again, I have a knack for not matching either,
From cover to cover,
To each page its own,
From page top to page bottom the blank margins my home,
For what I am to be is not bound by what I wrote,
Therefore, come find me in the bindings of a book.

The Showmen
Spinning in circles on little toes,
The world in motion as a smile grows,
The seed is the rhythm,
Clapped in time,
Sprouting out to the sound of this simple rhyme.
