I’m here for you
I tell you I understand
Because I do
But you pretend I didn’t
You block it from your mind
I tell you I’ve been there
Because I have
But you don’t want to believe
So you ignore me
No two situations are the same
So it’s different
But you don’t see the similarities
You’re where I was
I never said they were the same
Because they’re not
But some things ARE similar
Don’t be mad…

When you need it

To Dream a Dream of Freedom...
Someday somehow I know I'll get the chance
with nothing to do and time to be me
and not alone but with someone who cares
to know all is okay and we may see:
Waves like thunder crashing along the shore
massive mountains are teeth capped in white snow
and wheat fields stretching out forevermore.
For then, I'll surely be... a free spirit.

There or Not?
Hey there, you are a stranger
I guess I wanted to say sorry
I'm no good at this
Please don't be mad at me
I thought I was trying my best
I know I'm a bit slow
I'm unsure about almost everything
I must have many a foe
Yes, I am very confuzzled
But I’m willing to learn
If u could put up with me
But back I won't turn
Hey there, you are a friend
I'm going to be a better person
You've inspired me, but
It's easier said than done
I am not defined by others
Around me are those I look to
To see my reflection...

When Do You Know
When do you know
you’ve gone too far?
When the teasing has become bullying
and then there’s nothing
you can do to stop it.
Or what if you’re the bully?
When do you know
who is a good friend
and who isn’t
When you have no real friends
and you’re not sure how to find some.
What if you’re the bad friend?
When do you know
to give someone a break?
To stop pressuring them
to do what you want
whether it’s good or bad.
Or what if you’re being pressured?
When do you know
…what you want to be?

Struggle for Hope
I want to reach out,
I want to help,
But I don't,
Because I can't...
I'm afraid you'll push me away.
I want to tell you it'll be okay,
That it will get easier,
But I can't,
Because I won't lie...
I can't see the future.
I want to spend time,
Time can cure,
But I won't,
Because you've been pushing me away...
And less time is better than none at all.
I want to go to you,
I want to be there,
But it's not possible,
Because I'm too far...
For no opportunity has shown itself.
I want to be with you,...
I want to help,
But I don't,

Whispers in the air
around me.
"It's okay," "It's fine,"
they respond.
It's not okay,
and I want to scream.
Shouldn't be used
so often.
They don't mean it.
Wrong isn't forgiven
with sorry,
and I want to cry.
Wrong is forgiven
if you're truly sorry.
Don't say sorry
unless you mean it.
You're a liar,
and I want to die.
