POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Just a lonley soul in a world of lonley souls who wants you to know what I'm feeling.
One Sided
From a distance I observed,
I saw the spark in your eyes that once was lively die to a dull light,
Your face became crowded with hard lines,
As if you haven't slept for days.
But knowing me,
Pushed it off as just a rough night.
You hid yourself very well,
You fooled even me.
You laughed, you smiled, you danced,
As if nothing was different.
But late at night when no one was watching you'd take off your mask,
Rub your eyes,
And stare at yourself in the mirror.
You were probably asking yourself if it was worth it,
And no,...

Forever Lost Letters pt.2
Dear brother,
If you're reading this, I hope you know that you're the reason I've decided to leave the world behind. Your cruel comments you saw as 'jokes' weren't funny but a devastating blow. Your jokes created self inflinting wounds upon my mind. I cried every night remembering what you always called me, or said to me in an attempt to be funny and I remember my cringful laugh I gave to show I wasn't affected but was. The things you've said to me, and how you made me feel pushed me over the edge. I couldn't take the sleepless nights, the work of holding back my sobs at night,...

Forever Lost Letters
Dear Mom and Dad,
Ever since I was little you've shown me what life is, you've taught me how to survive in the world, what to do if a strange man comes up to me, how to protect myself, all the basics for a little girl living in a cruel world. You were always the ones to be by my side when I was sad, angry, scared, or happy. You never left. As I grew up, I noticed myself being sad most of the time, but for you I faked a smile because I can't let you suffer with my problems. You've done a lot for me, you spend a lot on me. During late nights when the shadows in my mind come out to...

Reflection of Myself
I wake up, I look in the mirror, and I hate what I see.
I see my disorganized hair,
I see the bags under my eyes,
I see the shape of my nose,
I see sadness in my eyes.
I hate what I see.
I cry internally because why do I look like this?
I hate my physical features,
But I cry because I hate what I see when I look into my own eyes.
I see sturggle,
I see fear,
I see pain,
I see a hallow vessel of someone that looks like me.
I'm scared of my thoughts,
I'm scared of what I'm capable of,
I'm scared of what my reflection...
I see my disorganized hair,
I see the bags under my eyes,
I see the shape of my nose,
I see sadness in my eyes.
I hate what I see.

Society Kills
Society kills.
Death happens annually. Monthly. Weekly. Daily.
Every hour our cruel world loses a beautiful soul who couldn't handle society as well as they wanted to.
Their minds fill with negativity as they grow.
All they see is,
'Look like this'
'Look like that'
'Act like this'
'Act like that'
Life doesn't come with instructions on how to live YOUR life.
It just doesn't work that way.
It's up to you, up to you to learn who you want to be. On your own.
Society is filled with flawed human beings.
And it's funny because those...
