POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Welcome to the show, as I am here to grow. Stop in, Sit a spin. The ramblings of a mad man is soon to begin.
Wish’s Curse
This is a story indeed tragic
About two Lovers and their relationship
Many years of a crumbling partnership
Of friends fleeting sponsorship
She Began to disbelieve love's magic
Though he continued to try
To keep their love from becoming a lie
Pushing too hard making her cry
One day in a heated argument
He asked what she wished for as she sat on the bed
Her answer was “Don’t you see I wish you were dead.
I wish I never ever had to see you again”
“If that is what you wish”, responding to her resentment
He left...

Silence
I walked outside after a rain fall
I could hear nothing, nothing at all
No cars driving by, No birds in the sky
It was as if the world had become so shy
I lit my cigarette and gave a faint sigh
Inhaling deeply the tender smoke
I gave my hair a gentle swift stroke
Exhaling I could watch the smoke float
Where it wished somewhere far and remote
I walked outside after a rain fall
I could hear nothing, nothing at all
No wind rustling through, Nothing to adhere to
I felt at last in peace, Though this would soon cease
As tomorrow would...

A True Disease
The greatest evil is happiness
For it in itself is an illness
More powerful than any drug addiction
For it causes its own contradiction
People kill just for a feeling
We destroy lives for an inkling
Of bliss that comes from a moment
Then we constantly seek atonement
We all search for its properties
Envious of those with opportunities
Seeking our own salvation
Causing others devastation
Excommunicating our own souls
Living life as heartless trolls
The detox is more than some can bare
Forever gone how is this fair ...
For it in itself is an illness

I wake up staring at the empty side of the bed
With memories and thoughts of you in my head
I did receive your call the other day
I am happy to see you found your way
I came home yesterday and checked my mail
To see that your happiness did prevail
The wedding invitation you had sent me
Proving that you were completely free
Of thoughts about our former life
Of ever being my future wife
Staring at the picture of you and your man
Reading about your grand wedding plan
Picturing myself standing next to you
I know that this view is...

The Fool
Freedom is never given
It is what we earn
Walking among the livin'
The price is what we learn
Existence controlled by another's insecurities
Damages your future opportunities
Though some do not mind being slaves
A person who always craves
Wishing to be free
Scared of the fee
The responsibility is too much to bare
So they live a life far from fair
Freedom is never given
It is what we yearn
Walking among the livin'
Our pride must never burn
Ignorance is control's best tool ...

Eye of a Rose
The eye of a rose
Sees futures untold
Treasures it keeps
Wrapped in it's inner folds
When it first appears
It's nothing more than a hole
Inside beauty is held
Till its strong enough to show it's soul
As time goes by
It's petals do fall
The secrets come in view
Slowly revealing them all
Once there is nothing left
It's color's darken till they fade
The eye will turn and look down
Displaying nothing but shade
Sees futures untold
Treasures it keeps
Wrapped in it's inner folds
When it first appears
It's nothing more than a hole
Inside beauty is held
Till its strong enough to show it's soul
As time goes by
It's petals do fall
The secrets come in view
Slowly revealing them all
Once there is nothing left
It's color's darken till they fade
The eye will turn and look down
Displaying nothing but shade

Last Man's Journal
Year One
Its been a year since I saw a real live person
I have just buried my wife and my last son
I am 32 and alone in the world that died
The earth has been ravaged and flash fried
Society has crumbled away into nothing
I shall continue to live to find myself something
Its time to leave my house and hit the busted road
Carrying all that I can still hold, A light load
Leaving all reminders of the former life I had
So my memories wont drive me mad
I know there must be someone else alive out here
So, off into this...
