POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
"From childhood's hour I have not been as others were, I have not seen as others saw;" - Edgar Allan Poe, 'Alone'
Memories
I cry out for you,
Your voice lost in memories,
Mine, silenced by time.
Your voice lost in memories,
Mine, silenced by time.

Love
Strong as the mountain,
As sure as the divine wind,
Love is eternal.
As sure as the divine wind,
Love is eternal.

Purple’s Death
The days of mighty kings gone past,
The violet throne will burn at last,
An end to the purple-born’s eternal rule,
A blackened prince seeking his long lost jewel,
With good will he surrendered his iron reign,
Will his self-destruction have occurred in vain?
The violet throne will burn at last,
An end to the purple-born’s eternal rule,
A blackened prince seeking his long lost jewel,
With good will he surrendered his iron reign,
Will his self-destruction have occurred in vain?

Rising Sun
His soul burning in hatred for this world,
Himself, through which corruption unfurled,
Black and red the two halves to his mind,
Pain and anger leaving him totally blind,
Nearly perfect in his soulless blight,
He discovers a star plucked straight from the night,
Like a river which brings water fresh and clean,
Clueless was he to how much this star would mean,
Eternal was his perilous night and decay,
But with the rising sun comes a new day.
Himself, through which corruption unfurled,
Black and red the two halves to his mind,
Pain and anger leaving him totally blind,
Nearly perfect in his soulless blight,
He discovers a star plucked straight from the night,
Like a river which brings water fresh and clean,
Clueless was he to how much this star would mean,
Eternal was his perilous night and decay,
But with the rising sun comes a new day.

A Darkness
There exists a darkness so great in this world,
Which with its power poor man is crushed or hurled,
A darkness so fierce and devilishly savage,
Never a whole man remains of those it doth ravage,
An ominous void one can hardly escape,
Each victim encircled within its harrowing drape,
An iron noose wound around his neck so tight,
Some have made it, but she had given up the fight,
Living in grief, the constant pain and fear,
Rarely a day goes by without shedding a tear,
They put up resistance and for life they will fight,
Though many will surrender to...
