UPBEAT INSPIRATIONAL POEM

Living
Reading,
Seeking,
Mind needs feeding.
Searching,
Pleading,
Always eating.
Listening,
Needing,
Never knowing
What will fill me up.
Nature walks,
Provocative talks,
Sipping coffee by the sea,
Looking at a redwood tree.
Squishy mud between my toes,
Drinking from the water hose.
Skinny dipping in moonlight,
All feed my endless appetite.
Seeking,

Mystery Lover
I am feeling despondent, blue.
My mind won't stop thinking of you.
Strangers still, but yet you know
Exactly what my body wants,
Precisely how to touch me.
Your mind is warped the same as mine,
Innately we have the same need.
I will never find you again!
Hidden on a different continuum!
In my ignorance of you I thought I was happy.
Now simple contentment evades me.
Can I continue my life in my pleasant world,
Aware that you exist somewhere?
Am I brave enough to search for you?
Would that be too selfish?
...
My mind won't stop thinking of you.

Exactly what my body wants,

Cherry Blossoms and Whatnot
Gnarly, rotted
Confident with my nakedness
Old is the crown I wear,
Fare due for not dying.
I am but a cloud,
Briefly staying, constantly changing.
Drifting along with all of my truths,
Aware that I will always be,
And never be
the same.
Hot, beyond hot
Dry
Thirsty beyond parched,
Cracked brown earth
Death is looming
I welcome my Savior,
Rain.
Cold, beyond cold
Wind blowing
Eyes frozen open,
Sticks for arms.
I am alive, just
For a moment...
Confident with my nakedness

Diversified Soul
Your purpose driven life sounds nice,
Focusing on one goal;
Streamlined, easy identity,
Growing your specialized soul.
My life is a little bit harder,
Refusing to choose one lane;
Searching and never quite finding,
My diversified soul to blame.

Mirror, Mirror
You tell me that you love me,
I believe you think you do;
See, authentic love is scarce
And, usually happen chance.
To love me real takes courage
Devotion and surrender.
I speak not of providing,
You work really hard at that.
It's not the way you parent,
Our Children, quite fortunate.
You honor me and trust me,
You're loyal to the core.
The reason you don't love me true:
You still love yourself more.
I believe you think you do;

Perfection
You say you're not much to look at;
Don't tell me what I see.
My vision's 20/20,
I see you there, all three.
I see you have dark places,
You've demons that you face.
I also see a fighter,
Punching through the pain.
Beneath it all, I see your love,
Embracing all creation.
The reason people look away,
Is not because you're lacking...
Their dilated eyes can't handle
Your imperfect perfection.
Don't tell me what I see.

Mother,
May I eat from your hearty bosom,
Tomatoes so plump and smelling of you?
Mother,
May I drink from your sacred bowels,
Swim in your crystal seas?
Mother,
May I climb your glorious mountains,
Smell your evergreen trees?

May I devour your wonderous views?
Colors beyond my imagination!

Welcome (mat)
Mi casa es su casa, you hear it all the time.
For most folks who say it, it is merely just a line.
You need a friend so you go in, deciding to compromise...
The closet's small, only room for your overcoat.
So you pretend you're comfortable living in disguise.
This is how we live our lives;
Souls forced to sacrifice
So we can be accepted, even superficially.
If you've grown tired of your costumed ways, come and visit me.
My closet's big. I've plenty of room for
Your camouflaged array.
Put down your pack, lighten your back for
Your life's too...
