Sorry I haven't been on in so long, working through some stuff. but i'm back! I write because I love writing, because my songs are who I am. one day I hope to inspire people with them. I'm shy but if you get to know me I'm really quite funny.

Losing It
Promises, spill them out like we both did once before
like the scattered photographs tangled up on the floor
Why's it hurt so much if we never were enough?
shouldn't it be easier than this
if you really had always seen it coming?
(Pre-chorus)
Oh, oh, don't want to see the way this is gonna go over
like a torn up four leaf clover in my hand
there's no second chance before this room grows colder
(Chorus)
Maybe I'm losing my mind, running low on time
it all used to be clear, now I don't know day from night
a little lie here and there...

Look At You
I will not listen to the words that you said
won't let them cross my mind again
I will not be a victim of your carelessness
holding onto my heart's remnants
why is there a pain in my lungs,
as if everything I walked away from
hadn't already damaged too much?
and why, if this is closure, am I still bent?
A heavy past is what I've got to show
eyes dripping out fears from a heart grown cold

Healers and Heroes
A wise friend once told me stay strong and smile
that storms only rage fo just a little while
at first it was hard to believe in that comfort
and tell myself that maybe my battle wasn't over
then I fell, thinking only time would tell
but love, it heals, little by little til
all is made well
I live and breathe the hope of the unseen
strive to succeed in the life I have dreamed
on my own the path is too treacherous
but oh how far I've come, since a fleeting moment
led me to your arms wide open, healer and hero

let me in, don't notice this knife 'cause it looks like lipstick
I've got a '45 in my left boot and a silencer in my right one
they'll say it was a burgulary gone amiss, later on I'll laugh at this
some say I've been in this business too long, but you'll never know it
off the charts, wipe you off the grid like you never...

A Grip On Me
You watched it all blow up in your face
nothing here anymore left to save
guess karma came around with a vegence
bite your tongue and stop pretending
the bruises you threaten are gone from my mind
Finally free from the danger I used to fight
I'm walking away, I won't be ashamed
it was never my fault, I'm not obligated to stay
after the words you said ravaged through my head
and your lies built up, not giving up innocence
I have no more chances left for you to take
you stole them all but my heart will not break
go on and claimed you've...
nothing here anymore left to save

not sure how our minds make sense of it
sorry won't cut it, there's too much at stake
hanging in the balance as you're pulling away
I tug at your heartstrings but it's too late
these tears aren't gonna convince you to wait
just for now, let's pretend we're okay
maybe we'll both believe it too eventually
act like we're not falling, shattering long into the night
love might be broken, but we can make it look alright...

Broken Hearts
I don't know why you choose to see me now
after all that time when I was invisible
put me down, break me apart, and for what?
did you need a decoration, some morbid art?
lining the shelves of this world are bottles of broken hearts
take one down and pass it around, laugh at how shattered they are
no one stops to think of what could be, they're focused on the pain
like once a soul's been crushed it's no longer worth much
just a souvenir of lost love
They say that people can change, but I'm wary
I've seen my fair share of shattered things...

Blue of Her Eyes
The wounds swelled with overwhelming abuse
not tall enough, not small enough, a little too dumb
and she trusted her worth like you'd trust a habitual liar
doubting every kind word that she told herself
some of these misconceptions came from the outside
but the worst ones that stuck around were in her own mind
And to look at her you might never see this
for years and years everybody overlooked it
it was the pain beneath the sheltered frame
the little pieces no one even knew
and it was the way she woke up to each day
hoping on a prayer for...

Judge
There's a remnant of a life that I once knew
somebody I thought I was, when I had no clue
I do not deserve this pain, but I have it all the same
every day's a struggle to keep what little hope remains
Don't judge me please, I'm falling to my knees
can't stand alone against the pressures raining down
I know that I'm not the only one who stumbles
but telling me that over and over won't fix me
and I realize that sometimes I am far from perfect
still, shortcomings are not the only thing I'm made of
but when the race has been run and I see a brighter...
