Sorry I haven't been on in so long, working through some stuff. but i'm back! I write because I love writing, because my songs are who I am. one day I hope to inspire people with them. I'm shy but if you get to know me I'm really quite funny.

The me, unseen
I'm an aspiring model
but I'm very insecure.
Ever since elementary school I was called ugly
disgusting
nerdy
unworthy
undeserving
All because my crystalline blue eyes have to wear glasses.
because I have freckles in the summer.
because I'm considered too thin, but only because they called me fat
revolting
because they made fun of me for who I was
timid
kind
innocent
forgiving
strong in my faith
But I dream of a day when I am
a singer
songwriter
actress
model
confident
and because one person...
but I'm very insecure.

The voices and I
The voices and I, we have an agreement
they fight to stay while I pray they leave
scared of the night,
and I'm not sure where I'm going
but I'm not giving up the battle yet
And they can say what they want
I promised I wouldn't listen
I'm turning 'round, I won't run
refusing to break and watch
my future burn to the ground
now I hear you calling through
the tangled web of lies, you're on my side
joining the war that's not quite won
the struggle in my mind
between the voices and I
The voices and I, are still both surviving...
they fight to stay while I pray they leave

and I'm not sure where I'm going

Once upon a life
She trusts him more than anyone
he sees her tears and doesn't run
he's loved her at her worst and held her through the rest
and she knows for once upon a life
she is enough...
And this time the fairytale won't end
with a storybook closing
the pages are still unwritten
and her heart just started glowing
from the warmth of love and the strength that comes
with a hand that never slips away
even when she falls astray
Once upon a magical, mystical life...
that became reality.
He knows her more and more each day
she's seen him...
he sees her tears and doesn't run
he's loved her at her worst and held her through the rest
and she knows for once upon a life
she is enough...

All you will ever be
You're a pebble stuck in the sole of my shoe
and I just can't seem to get rid of you
always there to remind me of where I've been
and try'na drag me back again
but I'm sick and I'm fed up of putting up with it
All you will ever gain, is nothing from this!
just another scar, on my heart,
but that's not something new.
All you will ever see,
is the remnants of who I used to be
walking away, staying here isn't safe,
I can't handle this
don't want to keep blocking your fist
it's just too much, I've had enough!
so a bad but fading...
and I just can't seem to get rid of you
always there to remind me of where I've been

Shredded Yesterdays
Bury me deep below the surface of what's real
use up all my love until I cannot feel
I don't want to live this way
hanging onto the things they claim
paper cuts bleeding out lies and blame
trying to tape it all together
but the meaning has been lost
and I can't find all the pieces
Growing numb
from the loss of feeling in my arms
reaching out so long to no avail,
I know a mishap's not a failure
until I let it win
but I can't wish it away, not this time
Future come
'cause I'm done with all the waiting
trying but barely...
use up all my love until I cannot feel
I don't want to live this way

chill my heart with words that go too far
then blame me for not being trusting
melt my walls with promises of change
then turn and run just to spite me
and I don't know why i still hang on

all I know is I'll try not to be...

After All
Somewhere, out of the nothingness, out of the pain, there is gain, there is hope in this.
Somehow, all the brokenness, every scar, bandaged heart, is awaking from the dark and I see...
there is light after all in me.
When the doors have all slammed in my face
and the rain is pouring down,
As the tallest towers and jagged cliffs
mock me as I fall to the ground again...
I look to the sky with the last of my breath
spend all my wishes at once for one final chance
just to know there's something left for me
a glimmer of love to come and set this...

When the impossible becomes a reality
when the unfathomable you hold in your hands
every wish that becomes more than a pipe dream

when the victim becomes the victor
heart-stopping, when you finally rise above it
all the lies and fears from every shed tear
they fall away and disappear
