A thousand ledges
I've spoken in a dialect no one knows,
I've acted ways no one knew.
I'm constantly in a place where other can not go
A place in my head you can never go.
It's been my best escape
A place of great debate
A place where my pure intentions and emotions are derailed
Where the true me has been inpaled
Constantly weighing my true value
Hanging on by a thread
Hanging on the edge
Talking myself off a thousand ledges
In this place I'm screaming
But it seems no one hears me.
I've carried the weight of the...

Object in the rear view mirror
I guess it's true, that life is a highway and the soul is just a car.
Maybe that explains why you've just got up and left.
I guess every time you look at your reward view mirror and your memories of your life flashes black,
I'm that object that never appear
And that's the reason you haven't came back.
I grew up around the same hood the two of you met,
You can't say you have forgotten the address.
I'm yet to see your face, hear you voice,
In and these years. Not even a single letter sent.
In my yester years, I said I don't care, ...

Still frame
One moment that will never change
A moment years will never wash away
A moment memories will not erase
Where we both can say we felt the same
Still stuck in a photograph of us
I chose to remember this way
If I could I'd rewind the hands of time
To that single second in our life
I knew what true love was.

When the great flood came
I could have sworn
I was faithful to you
I gave you all I knew I should
I heeded your calls when you called
Everywhere I swear I would have followed
But when the great flood came
I was the one you left behind.
Now the water is rising past my neck
And I'm screaming out my lungs
Why am I being the one left behind?
You gave me these imperfections
Now you make them sound like they were my choice
You gave me the ability to sin,
Now I'm wrong
Made to face the consequences of the fall
Whilst I was built to...

The initiation of self honesty
Sometimes the bravest thing one can do
is admit they are scared.
That no matter how tall we stand
And posing and Mars ready for war
We're vulnerable inside.
That we seek comfort
A shoulder to break upon..
Sometimes the smartest thing one can do
Is admit we don't have all the answers.
That we don't know,
That we see failure and uncertainties in all that we've
That we seek to be taught
And be given an answer to this puzzle
We know as life...
That our souls are searching,
We are burdened by the...

Just lost
I've said the story one to many times before
I've been down,
I've been as long as anybody can ever go,
And maybe of my own making
I've been through hell...
The walls felt they were crumbling down,
I've suffocated,
I've suffered
And I've been depressed...
Yet through all these years I just wanted to make it to a better day,
To see myself free
From the nose around my neck.
So I endured,
I had something to look forward to,
I had a war that needed to be won.
And surely by miracle or grace ...
I've been down,
I've been as long as anybody can ever go,
And maybe of my own making
I've been through hell...

Lost in silence
You say, I shut you out
Never let you in.
Never share with you how I truly feel
Never include you in my thoughts and dreams
But in truth. When I needed you, you never listened
Never took be seriously.
Yes. Maybe it's my fault
I'm always playing around,
Always fooling around
Maybe even to a childish point.
Yet, you foolishly assumed I never felt anything
That I never get hurt
I always give you a shoulder,
You gave me a cold one in turn.
Gave you my time,
But I was just a disturbance when I needed you to...

Give in to me
This world is full of thorns,
The beautiful scent of roses carry hurt,
Love inevitably leads to hate
Joy inevitably leads to pain.
But listen to me,
There can be no pain where you going
The can be no suffering where you going
No struggles and need of hoping
Just surrender and give me your life
Step into this darkness to find your light.
It helps nothing if trying leads you to failure
Every relationship you work hard on leads to disappointment
In your eyes I can see it
Your love has turned to resentment ...

Stealing us, was the smartest thing they did.
Stealing us, was the smartest thing they did.
Who else do you know can build pyramids that can withstand millions of years, with endless mysteries that can only be equated to alien intelligence?
Who else do you know can build coliseum for titans that would withstand the test of time?
Who else do you know can work mines for years, work plantations for years and still carry the nation on their blood sweat and tears,
And come home to be mothers and and fathers?
Stealing us, was the smartest thing they did.
We are the beginning of mankind and...

I'm a stone
Though I may fall,
I will not shatter.
Though I may be stepped upon,
I will not break.
Overlooked and forgotten,
I'll not wither.
I'm all stone
Flesh and bone,
lifeless
I'm a stone.
Though season may come and go,
Storms will come and pass.
Wherever life kicks me
I shall make it my home.
And if it should be,
That the gravity of this world crushes me
I shall reinvent myself to sand
But forever I'll remain resolute and true to myself.
Unharmed,
Unchanged, ...
