Your table awaits.

Two chubby librarians
Check books, bitch and moan.
Don’t you have best sellers?

Plexiglass shrine with candles
Honors a teen girl.
Small bouquets wilt in the sun.

Scruffy cat owns weed-choked lawn.
Not hearing the sounds:
Salsa, gunshots, sirens.

Ground ivy attracts big rats,
Unnerving the folks
Patiently awaiting bus. ...

Hey, let’s get into a cab quick!
I wear no perfume or lipstick.
Yes, and we’ll cuddle and kiss quick,
Around the streets and Central Park
I’ll be the minnow - you’ll be the shark.
We’ll bribe the cabbie to get lost for an hour
Giving us the time to kiss, hug and devour.
Your hands will soothe and excite me;
My lips will suck and release thee.
You’ll return to your job, a spring to your step.
I’ll feel so womanly with even more pep.
And remember today with fond recollection
Witnessing your wonderful giant erection.
