mirror

Their eyes burn with anger and their mouth is
set

In a grimace that freezes my soul

Their skin is marred with bruises and blood

Deep cuts and welts that sting red

Their fists are clenched and their muscles bulge

Tensed and ready to spring

Who is this man?

I reach out to touch him

And he does the same

Those are my eyes

That is my mouth

That is my skin

Those are my fists

That man is me
