POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Word.
Dear Wizard
This arrogant gait brings me no closer to serendipity.
I sit on my hands and let myself drown.
In my credulity I let the wizard make craft of my head;
Terraform my cerebellum with wonders contrived from science.
I wonder what value he sees; for when I roll back my eyes and look into my skull, I see only a charlatan.
To what honor do I owe you, oh wizard?
What amalgam have you brought this wrought child?
What magics could you cast to make this cavernous chasm pregnant with life?
These scenes are best left to witches or on front doors...

My Cock-Rock
It's been months since you last showed yourself.
A shadow over Innsmouth, a dementor lurking in the night.
You said you'd always be there for me.
The Autumn is approaching; the leaves fall like my hopes.
Tumbling down, down, down like how you used to on me.
Dropping me like a bad habit; or like that fat guy in Lilo N' Stitch.
No poem, no haiku, no soliloquy will bring you back.
I miss you like a junkie does his smack.
I miss you like washed-out Playboy Bunny does her rack.
No amount amount of silicon will be...

Ambivalent on His Lap
I'm sitting on his lap.
His arms wrap around me.
Warm blankets to fend off the cold.
Strong, muscular arms guide me into his embrace like a lighthouse does a freight ship to its docks.
I dock myself firmly against his pecs; he is my lighthouse, I think to myself.
His hands glide down my body.
Amazonian vines entangling me and evincing memories of someplace safe: someplace like the womb.
The world is so warm and silent in his arms.
I close my eyes and...
