Serpents
I've never been much for a standing ovation
But if you saw the eyes of this snake, you'd be out the door as well
To see the way he had sprung,
like a jack in the box,
could have startled your heart,
could have rattled your bones,
Could have ripped those arms off,
Left you bleeding alone,
So talking is frowned upon in these here parts,
leave your lips at the door
swallow some extra air to moisten them old ass lungs
If death is to despair, then I am at your mercy
If the end is here, then let it come quickly
I am lost in a crowd of people...

Living Between Apartments
Two hearts will beat as one
Two kids will die at once
Regulate the population
Or we'll take it into our own hands
A war
is a decorated man's christmas present
I wanna burn his uniform
Carrying a cross over miles of desert.
I fought tooth and nail for a little boy to get an antidote
I woke up with poison fingertips,
Killing everything that was in my grasp
Oh, look at the way we laughed
As we listened to the ocean
wash over me
Drown me out
You'll never succeed if you just cop out
Two kids will die at once
Regulate the population
Or we'll take it into our own hands
A war
is a decorated man's christmas present
I wanna burn his uniform
Carrying a cross over miles of desert.

A Sound so Shrill, it Sharpens
Respect it
Misery keeps burning buildings down
and trapping innocents as they suffocate
Singing a hymn or two to pay the toll
A hallelujah heart
and a sick sick way to get down
Living in the company of evil
Keeps you on the edge of your seat
Living on the edge
Eventually will consume you.

Saying the F Word in Public
Stupid old me
Letting go of love again
I feel sorry for myself and I expect a pity party to follow suit.
I am painstakingly handsome in my mind but ugly to the rest of you
I can't put these pieces together
And form anything visible to human eyes with them
So excuse me, excuse me, my bad, I guess.
I'm sorry for bothering you with my problems again
Letting go of love again
I feel sorry for myself and I expect a pity party to follow suit.
I am painstakingly handsome in my mind but ugly to the rest of you
I can't put these pieces together
And form anything visible to human eyes with them

Stale Cigarettes
We can blame it on the past
we could forgive ourselves for future problems
but what's the sense in collecting dust
there's no room in here to be selfish fucks
If there was one word to describe myself
I'd let you know right away.
Singing and whispers won't make me feel better
I'm burning inside but cool on the surface
nothing feels good
and feeling good seems like a myth anyways
we could forgive ourselves for future problems
but what's the sense in collecting dust
there's no room in here to be selfish fucks
If there was one word to describe myself

Ghosts
I said goodbye to the Marching Band,
Although they continue to stomp around in my heart
black and white attire with some mascara bleeding off their faces.
I promised not to cry,
listening to that sweet trombone rattle my bones
and the percussionist filled my lungs with a heavy beat
dressed to kill taking me for a ride through town
I begged the summer blue to never let it end.
I wanna feel this bass until my heart stops dead.
when there's no time like the present and the past is on hold,
there's just enough time for one more song.
So we shook hands...

Ill-Gotten Gains.
I'm on top of a building that might collapse into a million pieces.
I am stuck in between the living and what lies beneath.
This is to be ground zero for what's about to kick in.
This is the cemetery, and we will play the dead.
Forgiving statues for crumbling.
Forgetting love was a solid mass.
Waste not, want not, cannot stop inevitability.
We came, we saw, we fought, we lost,
We wanted nothing, and nothing came.
We all disappoint ourselves,
And that's to be expected.
Candle-lit vigils spark,
and our lost loved ones dance on and on
until...

Dead Brothers
We go our separate ways.
We'll try our best to stay away
Aware that the past will eat the
path that leads to the future.
We'll try to live consecutive lives,
But in all will breed disaster.
But the ghosts in our houses try not to haunt us.
We've yelled at each other enough to scare them away
Part of me looked away at sundown
It saddened me to see the brightness fade
On and on, we're different people
Changing masks almost every weekday
I can't seem to put this one down
Nor can I explain what it's supposed to reflect
Frozen in the...

Old Enemies/New Friends
My guess is I'll die.
Fill my lungs with rancid black tar
Make me a mixtape and break it in half
What we don't know, won't hurt us
Don't throw me a bone, give me a whole skeleton
Replacing my face with a dead guy's death stare
Bullets clenched in between his jaws,
We'll never have to speak of it
We'll never have to talk again
Breathe like a gasping drowning whale
Stuck in the sand when we should be in the sea
Grasping for something to clutch while we're pulled back in
We made this bed let us lay in it.
Breeding shrapnel with camouflage, ...

Garbage Humor
Poison tethers us together and nestles us under feathered wings.
A toxic tribe of toxic people keeping no promises to our king.
A sick, sad older man with a last name that can't be pronounced
Is dying and he will be dead before night comes, and we're all laughing about it.
But tucked underneath the leaves, there's a hidden antidote.
Sparking conflict between the artist and the walls.
The paint is not what it seems, we have been right here before.
Suffering on, letting God tell me what is real and what is not.
Atlantis seemed too happy then, so we sank their...
