a sample of my frerard :)
I walked to the end of the sand bank, feeling Gerard's presence right behind me. The dark river in front of me looked still, but I knew that the current underneath the surface was tremendously strong. I looked at nothing, my thoughts drifting in other places. Places even darker than this cave.

Hungry For Her Innocence
note: this is kind of a rough copy, but plz read and tell me whatcha think! ~Katie
Sidewalk chalk
pink and white sneakers
hair ribbons and bubblegum
little girls are so alive
with sweetness
compassion
and naivety
They run and play
in the courtyard outside
my frigid apartment.
Right now I'm sitting in a hard kitchen chair
peering through the blinds
watching them.
A steaming mug of cocoa in hand
chases away the cold.
it burns my throat, but I swallow anyway.
There are only 4 children in the courtyard....

Route Guano
The long black road
Stretches through the desert
There rests an ocean of heat waves
The evening is silent
The earth is aflame under
The burning eye of the sun
Not a desert of infinite sand,
But one of dirt and rocks and brush and cacti
It's sunset
The beautiful
Bloody sky
Takes breathes away
Something stirs on the horizon
It charges forward with a power
A cloud of dust follows
The engine roars
As it speeds past all limits
And heads to Battery City
On the front, a big black spider
The back, covered in...

What I Never Thought
Snow falls slowly
Freezing all but time
My angry heart encased in ice
Roaring licks of light
Reflect in my eyes
How new this is,
My mind never having wandered
Before this rest of forever
Never thought I'd turn the lights out
But pain never fails
Let's burn in Hell my friends
Feel the flames but don't see them
Evil is proof of God
Because there's beauty in danger
Grace in death
I couldn't stop it
Cause I'd never thought
Never thought I was so morbid
Never thought that I would slit
My skin bag open
Shiny...

Poisonous Nighttime
The best time of day
Is not day at all
Darkness blackens the heart
And fills the soul
You can be who you want to be
And not who you are
Rejoice to the world
Because no one can see
All your secrets and lies that
Light up in the sky
When the sun blazes
It's a devil in the blue
Exposed
Lights you up
Puts a neon sign over you
Pointing you out
HERE SHE IS!!!
Thank God it's night
Because now I can live
Outside of myself
Silence and noise, all together
Sirens wailing on city streets
Time to live...
Is not day at all

Fallen Angel of Sorrows
Pale snowy skin
And dark ebony hair
She floats through her life
Not knowing how beautiful she is
A dark angel
Fallen just for me
She carries the weight of the world
On her shoulders
She is my angel of many sorrows
Gone is her smiling mother
Who helped her walk the hot coals
By being strong and holding on
Gone is her adoring brother's mind
He mumbles to himself
Lost as he walks down the halls
Gone is her accepting father
He now uses cookie cutters
To shape her the way he likes
Gone is her one...

In heaven he will stay
Because you took him away
From my warm embrace
Did he really deserve to die
Just because he was bi?
It's time to face
Your awful sins
Can't you see
How tragic it must be
For him to lay in repose
For me to keep on living
And the hate to keep on giving
People hell for what God knows
Is morally fine and decent?
You took my love from me
You realize how hard this must be?
I didn't know what you had in store
And now I can't speak
And my knees are weak
And I cry on the cement floor
