The sky had clouds scattered throughout,
I see an exquisite trace of yellow
Where the sun was attempting to shine again

Luminous, pale, blue sky
The kind of sight you are privy to only when the worst of the storm has passed

When you think it too turbulent to fight
You hunker down and succumb to the wrath
No expectations of light in the distance

An eternity goes by
Winds, rain, hail go with it

Peaking through the curtains
Drawn to the window by blind faith
Raising my gaze up to the universe

Hair that billows in the ocean of sheets covering the mattress
This bed is just as firm as sand on the beach after high tide

Im unable to sleep, as too many thoughts compete for my mind
I think of the treasure hunt I've been on for my counterpart and sighed

A mind as constant and active like the coriolis effect has on the sea
Anxiously i await to discover the direction the next swirl will be

Whirlwind of emotions expelling from the two of us
To deny my love and hold it has on me would be treasonous
