Poet Introduction
Dark, ironic and dorky.
f**king Shit ; 2010-2011
Brought to you by my absence
These interactions
They think I have no sense
So the portion them out in rations
You're dancing drunk on the line
weaving, heaving, around and back
I'm thinking, now, about the time
thieving, deceiving, around and back
Eat shit, if you'd be so kind
I'm losing my mind
Watching you taunt the line
These interactions
They think I have no sense
So the portion them out in rations
You're dancing drunk on the line
weaving, heaving, around and back
I'm thinking, now, about the time
thieving, deceiving, around and back
Eat shit, if you'd be so kind
I'm losing my mind
Watching you taunt the line

They tuck me in
A risky embrace
Reality wakes me
To a slap in the face.
A risky embrace
Reality wakes me
To a slap in the face.

My footsteps and my lungs
the power lines
I'm back to where I've begun
I break out in a run
fast like panic
my feet
fast like panic
my breaths, my heart
fast like panic
My thoughts
fast like panic
I've fought
Fast like panic
I'm going nowhere fast
Panic
the power lines
I'm back to where I've begun
I break out in a run
fast like panic
my feet
fast like panic
my breaths, my heart
fast like panic
My thoughts
fast like panic
I've fought
Fast like panic
I'm going nowhere fast
Panic

Abstract Appeal ; 2011
He said to me
You're as a tree
Manipulated upon
a hangten bluff
By the wind
Through time
graciously petrified
You're as a tree
Manipulated upon
a hangten bluff
By the wind
Through time
graciously petrified

Momentarily; 5 September 2004
When I was young
I would lay still
In my grandmother's back yard
Facing upward
Watching the clouds
Momentarily
I would close my eyes
And I could swear
I felt the earth move
I would swear it
to my cousins
alongside of me
Did you feel that?
They never felt it.
Was this a childish fabrication?
Or was it my first sign of love?
My love for the dirt
Under my nails
For the cushion of the grass
The ease of a smile
Momentarily
Such a love I have thought...
I would lay still
In my grandmother's back yard
Facing upward
Watching the clouds
Momentarily
I would close my eyes
And I could swear
I felt the earth move
I would swear it
to my cousins
alongside of me
Did you feel that?
They never felt it.
Was this a childish fabrication?
Or was it my first sign of love?
My love for the dirt
Under my nails
For the cushion of the grass
The ease of a smile
Momentarily
Such a love I have thought...

Flood; 2003 or 2004
When my eyes rained to flood
My hands held my face
My strange hands to my face
Never ceasing to wipe away
the drops laced
With delicate emotion
They tried to hold the ocean
Failed, but thankful for the notion
That there's something bigger
Beyond commotion
Far beyond the motion
of my tears
That with my hands
Work like a potion
Saving me in my years.
My hands held my face
My strange hands to my face
Never ceasing to wipe away
the drops laced
With delicate emotion
They tried to hold the ocean
Failed, but thankful for the notion
That there's something bigger
Beyond commotion
Far beyond the motion
of my tears
That with my hands
Work like a potion
Saving me in my years.

Waves ; July 18 2006
Stagnant silent tiptoes
Before it happened to me
Existing dormant thriving
But for years I didn't see
Balancing amid wondering
Which way will I fall?
Demand commitments eggshells
In the end is it worth it all?
Before it happened to me
Existing dormant thriving
But for years I didn't see
Balancing amid wondering
Which way will I fall?
Demand commitments eggshells
In the end is it worth it all?

An Overthought ; 08/13/2011
He marks me insane
But himself,
A moth to the flame
A needle to the vein,
A hunter to the slain
Attempts to render me tame
Leave me still, insane
But himself,
A moth to the flame
A needle to the vein,
A hunter to the slain
Attempts to render me tame
Leave me still, insane
