Hypnotized
Oh how I yearn to look into your eyes
To feel your warm embrace
To finally taste your lips
How sweet they must taste
You're smile pulls me in
Shining brighter than a thousand suns
Hypnotized by your deep gentle voice
I look into your eyes
I can't look away no matter how hard I try
I'm trapped
Sinking deeper into your big brown eyes
And then you touch my hand
My heart starts to race
Every thought in my head
tells me to pull away
But I can not move
And to tell you the truth
I wouldn't want...

Blue
I look in the mirror and see my eyes
The realization hits like a train
and twists like a knife
My eyes are dull
Grey
Cloudy
And sad
The color faded with the hope that I had
When I let myself love you
My eyes were blue
Clear
Not like a stormy sea
They were like still water
But the the color faded as I started to believe
You never actually loved me
It isn't even about your love for me
It's about my love for you
Pushing you away
Pretending I don't care

I remember when we first met
The way you took away my breath
I remember the day I fell in love with you
The way we talked
The deal we made
The leaf we split that we plucked off the tree
"I'll cherish it forever" is what you said to me
I remember talking by the river
The sun was setting and I bet it was beautiful
I didn't even care to look
I was gazing into your eyes
No sunset could ever be as breathtaking

A better place
The world would be a better place
if I wasn't around
I try to bring others up
but all I do is bring them down
My tongue is bitter
Poisoned by pain
I feel like it would be better if I never spoke again
I try to heal the broken hearted
by showing them I care
the fear sets in and suddenly
I can't stand to be there
It's too many deep emotions
Something I can't stand
So when the people I care about need me most
I let go of their hand
I stand back and watch them drown
Because my ability to feel deep...

Wind in the water
As I was walking by a beautiful fountain
A gentle breeze came
The breeze blow through the water
It was a beautiful sight
The water bent and droplets glistened
Looking like stars in the night
It was only a momentary affect
For the breeze left
The water was steady again
Something about that experience
made me look deep within
It reminded me of all of the beautiful love stories I've had in the past that didn't last

The man she loved made stupid mistakes
And was locked away for fifteen years
A few days after his arrest
she fell ill and had pain in her chest
The doctor said she only had a few months left
But she refused to die

Unconditional love
"Why do you love me?"
He asked with eyes full of tears
"I don't deserve you"
He said as a tear started to run down his face
"I put you through so much shit,
and you still stay. Why?"
I tried to hold back tears
as his words hurt my heart
I gently explained
"There is this beautiful thing

They wonder why nothing you do is bad enough
Bad enough for me to run

not not even caring to know what I say
I say "I'm good" or "I'm okay"
Knowing that the truth is something
I can't say
Or could I?
What would happen if I told my deepest feelings
to a stranger passing by?
"Would thay stop to listen?" I wondered
so one day I tried
"How are you?" They asked
"Not good, I wanna die" I replied
They just walked away
without even hesitating ...
