Demons
I don’t want to know your demons
I already have my own
I need all my strength to beat them
so you have to fight alone
I would promise to support you
if I knew I’d keep my word
but my words just are mere wishes
and it’d only make you hurt
One soon day we’ll fight together
cause our demons are the same
when old age has made us bitter
we will leave the way we came

a cats plea
Take care of my human
until I return
I have to go now
I know it's my turn
He is broken and scarred
and afraid of the light
but he keeps you safe
and he holds you tight
He may be cold
when it's winter outside
but has the warmest of hearts
beating inside
He loves you dearly
and shows it each day
so please stay with him,
don't go away
As for I have to go now
and I know he will hurt
so you have to watch him
stay at his side here on earth.
until I return

Solace
Darkness creeps around my heart
and leaves its scent inside.
Slowly I will crumble down
wither away and die.
I'm staring corners all alone
the throbbing keeps me awake.
Like water washing out a rock
it's driving me insane.
And yet your hands reach out to me,
your warmth dispels the cold,
your whispering voice resounds in me,
your kindness saves my soul.
and leaves its scent inside.
Slowly I will crumble down
wither away and die.

Blizzard of love
Harsh winds howl and dark nights fall
and no light ever breaks
And in the eyes of a silent man
the lowest spark awakes
He leaps into an unknown land
and looks for something new
The coldest air awaits the man
who closes in to you
And just as ice your eyes they shine
they shine the brightest blue
His lips and hands are shivering
and a fire starts anew
His insides burnt, just ash is left
but ashes keep him warm
his voice so near: please let me come
right there into your storm
and no light ever breaks
And in the eyes of a silent man

on my way
a cold dark place
your presence like a ghost
your bed unmade
i need to take it slow
i only want you next to me
come back home
i reach out for your hand but feel
i'm falling down
did you hurt too much?
we bleed the way you bled
scared of my touch
we hurt the way you did
you disappeared from my life
ran out into the night
now you're carried up so high
and i lie here and cry
are you lonely there?
i am on my way
and if you are scared
just wait another day

Memories of you
A box of oranges in hand
A letter that was never sent
Apologies and silent guilt
Ruins of trust that we once built
A box of memories for me
A box of what we could have been
As time will take its toll on them
We live our life the best we can
In blurs of greens and browns and blue
the only one I see is you
but blues and greens just fade away
and only greys and blacks will stay.

Sweet pain of remembrance
The sweetest taste lingers on my lips
and heaven frowns at me from above
I feel the pain that thousands felt
and yet it's not enough
Drops of water curl down your face
I hold you in my arms and weep
whatever darkness rules this land
it's not enough to make me bleed
Deafened by the cries of death
we're standing in a field of graves
and every second we still have
feels as if it lasts for days
A dream, a song, a hurtful line
the reddest dress I've ever seen
I kiss your lips again and I
will shed the person I have been.

Lying the hours away
The mood is heavy
and I am too weak
to lift your head from my chest.
We're lying awake
for hours and hours
and yet we're getting no rest.
In this serious silence
our voices are sealed
and no words dare to come out.

Walking through the dark
Walking through an endless night,
I couldn’t stop them though I tried
Stars are hiding in the dark,
Demons come as I embark.
Thunder calling our name
Though our names are all the same
Just numbers written on our arms
Did nothing wrong, did no one harm.
Confined to keep our plague at bay
They brought us here some bygone day
They took our things and worse, our pride
And left us perish by their might.
And after many years gone by
When I look children in the eye
I see that they have lost their light.

The panther
A cunning move, a careless sway
So swift they can not look away.
A hopeless heart made hard by time,
Two eager eyes, a lonely mime.
Behind a curtain in a cage
Losing her days she always waits.
But come the time one careless sway
A slip of hand, once looked away
She comes to life, yours to an end.
That waiting time was time well spent.
The audience stares, can’t look away
And you have died this very day.
So swift they can not look away.
