POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Hey, stranger. I did some writing.
Scorned
Love me, love me not,
Just a salesman with his hook
Break me some more, I can take it right?
I'll just take solace in this respite.
Thrown up into the storm once more,
With thunderous force you'll tear me back down.
Keep my head above the waves,
'It was my fault, I'm sorry'
Blame will fall on my shoulders and drag me below.
One day I'll learn to keep my pride intact
My pity will be exhausted, my conscience cold.
Fuck what guilt you try to lever,
And fuck the rights you think you have.
I'm strongest without this,
But I'll be better...
Just a salesman with his hook
Break me some more, I can take it right?
I'll just take solace in this respite.
Thrown up into the storm once more,
With thunderous force you'll tear me back down.
Keep my head above the waves,
'It was my fault, I'm sorry'
Blame will fall on my shoulders and drag me below.
One day I'll learn to keep my pride intact
My pity will be exhausted, my conscience cold.

Seasons
Winter leaves you cold where summer had burned you,
The seasons eternal, swept up in the never-ending.
From the spring of lust, to the warmth of love,
To the fallen hearts, to the bitter words.
It ends in the cold hard frost of nevermore,
but starts again in the thaw of this new sun.
An April girl with wild desire,
Met the Autumn boy with his soul on fire.
The nature of their affections untold,
A seasoned mind and a playful smile.
They will fall and they will blossom,
Just wishing for an endless summer.
The seasons eternal, swept up in the never-ending.
From the spring of lust, to the warmth of love,
To the fallen hearts, to the bitter words.

They will fall and they will blossom,

A little peace.
She's a recovering romantic,
dropped from the world and she finds home in that broken soul.
The sun blinds her eyes and the wind numbs her skin,
the silence becomes the greatest friend she'll ever know.
She smiles and knows peace only the lost can find,
With no more destination she takes hold of this life.
A path once walked becomes fresh in Autumn sun,
her sorrows fall around her and scatter amongst the sepia leaves.
Break free from the shell of her youth, she stretches out seeking a companion in the sea.
Let the waves tell her stories of the vast...

The boy and his sorrow.
The boy who laughs at his sorrow, Will only become a man spent hollow.
Your pain is your own,
make it your grace.
Find strength in the dark and take stake in your soul.
So what if you've not been dealt the best hand?
Play your bluff and make jokers of fortune.
You're an artist whose greatest work was the facade you painted.
You're an architect whose greatest monument was the walls you feigned.
Every soldier has their shield, only a fool would be without.
There's promise for you, deep behind a mind rife with doubt.

Runaway
We'll drop it all, the day to day.
What peace could we find here anyway?
Because there's a hurricane within, that rips at my flesh.
Tears away at the facade of an oh so content heart.
And I swear this savage storm will wear my soul thin.
So lover I'll lead you through the day if you lead me through the dark.
We'll take the back roads and live the high life.
Your hand in mine and my soul in yours.
We'll lay in the rain and dance in the wind,
We'll swig back Jack and talk of how we never lived before.
Under a star scattered sky we'll travel by...

The curious man and his broken girl.
Night; It's the darkness, the endless sky, the lonely silence, the broken girl and the curious man.
You live there now don't you?
You burn in the stars.
Because that's where I find you, when I feel you the most.
So I can't hear your voice but
your words still burn through me.
Orion our messenger, of a love never lost.
Oh I miss you, like i'd miss the blood in my veins.
Oh and how I need you, like a child only could.
I look up and breath in the night,
I only hope you look down and see the stars too.
I'll be your little...

That night.
Inebriated I find myself intoxicated with you.
Ragged nerves and stoic minds,
A broken dream sat on the line.
Aching breath
breaking silence,
Beating hearts
growing violent.
A sin to pursue, a damnation to leave.
Ragged nerves and stoic minds,
A broken dream sat on the line.
Aching breath
breaking silence,
Beating hearts
growing violent.
A sin to pursue, a damnation to leave.

An unmade mind.
Last years stranger, come back to me.
For in knowing you was where I lost.
I am blind and know not how,
To find the thunder I once rode.
Let me speak, I've lost my voice,
My name, my heart, I made the choice.
I ceased to be a single soul,
and lived content, two as whole.
But what of my legacy, my empty page?
There was no malice, no cruel intent
But you so righteous, I must repent,
How could I not fall,
How did I not shatter?
And it was in the dark,
your shadows warmth,
That I found myself,
my strength...
For in knowing you was where I lost.
I am blind and know not how,
To find the thunder I once rode.
Let me speak, I've lost my voice,
My name, my heart, I made the choice.
I ceased to be a single soul,

I should be asleep.
Oh set me on fire and watch me burn,
Know my desires, but not my heart.
Greedy hands and solemn eyes,
I'm pleading for the flames to start.
It is not guilt for what I've done,
But aching shame for who I am.
Compulsive, doubtful and shy,
My heart belongs with the damned.
But in it all I just wish to find home,
Not in another, but in my broken soul.
I have grown weak at the hands of man,
Pick up the pieces and fix me whole.

Pick up the pieces and fix me whole.
