Library of my Heart

The library is cataloged
and all is kept in place
using every shelf
trying to save space
You enter realm of silence
no talking to be done
to browse books unencumbered
interest comes with some
One taken from the shelf
perhaps you like the cover
reading bits and pieces
no interest you discover
Moving to the next
you scour the outer look
liking what you see
you delve into the book
Mind hindered by a thought
of life and all untold
the secrets of the heart
begin to now unfold...

Naive No More

Words you use so often
now ring of hollow sound
i love you i'm sorry
just fall to the ground
what you say and do
two different things indeed
this little naive Spanish girl
wanted to believe
She trusted you completely
gave heart and all to you
but what you say and do
she now know none was true
you call another darling
while telling her the same
you say I love you too
but to a different name
The Spanish girl so true
trusting your every say
giving all she had
to learn of lies...
Words you use so often

Glimpse of What

run through life
at such a pace
giving love
without a face
while at least
the joy you seek
short in time
allowed a peek
smell and taste
delight in feel
to you amazed
thoughts of real
laughter rings
like bells peal

not long to face
broken hearts

Ruined

The twist and turns of life
of love now gone bad
of future only spoiled
the story now so sad
For love he did blacken
with words of deceit
she the ivory princess
his angel oh so sweet
Off limits is the bed
desires of the heart
another he brought in
breaking them apart
She a broken mass
tears to fill a stream
he with begging arms
I never break our dream
How you do she said
you break into my heart
a million little pieces
to fix there is no start
Die was her only wish...

no more beautiful face
or feel of loving hands
i hear no voice of love
no voice of distant land
In agony my heart screams
tears as rivers flow
no look back and no return
I have no place to go
My body's wracked with pain
no cure for this is known
i close my eyes to see you
the memories we have grown
i smell you now so clear
your scent is mixed with mine
sobs taking every breath
thoughts vivid in my mind
Frozen now in place
My body still with pain
No breath to me does come

The Lie
The Lie
(for the man I love)

O my God what have I done
how could I have said to him
you lie you lie you lie to me
I hurt so much within
So untrue of the man I love
never could this be he
most beautiful man I know
can he ever forgive me

whats your name
have we met
in some game
The game of love
or could it be
we've never met
it's only me
You say you love me
how can you dare
i don't know you
this love you share

Deafening Silence

Silence is deafening
as i sit alone
breathing so softly
no one is home
Alert for each sound
touching my ear
senses so fragile
forever a fear
You're not coming back
Are the words I heard
how can i breathe
life is now blurred
Where do i run
where do i hide
what have i done
has our love died
Over and over
i see your face
tears like rain
so out of place
Smiling and happy
your usual norm
what have i done
for you to transform
Lifting up eyes

No Words

I have no words I wish to say
my mind is just a blank
while yet as i just sit here
a prose just quietly shrank
So here I am with smirky smile
covering my winsome face
Eyes closed and trying hard
to put some words in place
You know I thought this isn't right
That I should take up space
to write of nothing to say
would be an utter disgrace
But here I am with keys tapping
like a woodpecker on a tree
scattered thoughts run rampant
yet nothing will set them free
The quiet of the early morn...
I have no words I wish to say

The Final Break

with pain oh so deep
How do I manage
the tears that I weep
We're over and done with
almost like a dream
Please wake me wake me

you'd play the game fair
When i couldn't find you
