My work is a matter of opinion. I just know with every rhyme I find a reason and without reason I'd have no ryhme. I'm far less complicated than you'd ever know if only you knew me at all.

Reckless
Reckless
I lived my life reckless
I was careless and afraid
I couldn't fix the brokenness
I couldn't stop the pain.
The only way to feel...
I found it in a pill.
I thought that it could heal me
Now I know it never will.
Each day I lose a little more
I'm trying not to fall
I've slammed a couple thousand doors...
And built as many walls.
All I really need is you right now
Or perhaps, the absence of...
Cus' like all things addicting
You're about to use me up.

Reinvent Heaven
Spiraled around your chaotic blue
I've never seen summer as cloudy as you
I move towards tenacious and out of the haze
Your clarion call showed me the way
Its not without love that I'm stranded here
Adrift in a seastorm harboring fears
I'm restless and reason runs just out of tune
But baby for you I'd lasso the moon
I'd reinvent heaven if God let it be
No one knows you better
At least not like me.

ANYTHING FOR AIR
Images of what you did sleep in my shattered mind...
As permanent and damaging as the most horrific crimes.
I trusted you with all the things I now no longer have...
And nothing you can offer me will ever give them back!
In shadowed strands this broken man is begging you to leave...
but you can't sense the urgency that's caused this all to be.
You exist in daylight...
disguised awaiting night...
In every breathing moment you attempt to take my life!
This warrior that you've labeled
me is weakened...
He's afraid!...

You are like water holding me down... Its not nice to do this!...Don't you know I could drown? You enter my conscience like a nuclear bomb... There's no darker cloud than the one that you're on. You turn the dial from zero to ten. I'd rise above it but you make it sink it. Why do you do this to me? Why are you pulling me down? You know that's not what I need, but you keep dishing it out. Lookin like ya flat lined underneath a Mack truck...
Messed up...still don't wanna give it up cuz ya wanna be the head bitch...penniless but fuckin rich...flyin like the wicked witch. But you can't run from a gun... sober or spun... you've made your mistakes but they're over and done...you need to fix this mess that you made it's not like you're dying...you're just in a haze...so wake up you dumb bitch...you're in a bed that you made.

I've been there too
I feel like I'm seeing myself in a mirror...
talking to him when he's not even here...
All of his struggles...
and all of his pain...
remind me of my life...
in so many ways.
He doesn't see it...
and neither did I...
but having survived it...
I can show him the signs.
He has potential...
He's got what it takes...
He's just tired from holding a thousand mistakes.
He's a diamond in the rough..
A boy and a man...
At war with himself...
In need of a hand.
I'll offer my shoulder...
It's all I can do...
I'll give him...

She smelt of antique channel and moth balls and old forgotten things...
Her smile thick with deep crevasses...wisdom written on Her face.
In her hand a wet white cloth she waves back and forth as though surrendering...
though she's been here for 78 years there's a freshness about Her...
Vulgar and sweet...lipstick smeared and vodka kisses can't explain her...they define her in the vaguest sense I suppose.
Is she afraid of the limelight it seems so obvious she's hiding or is she waiting...waiting for him like a princess...forgotten in the highest tower...chanel and camel...
