POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I'm a poet who writes mainly about love but will cover other deep subjects!
Unknown
Sepia hair with golden streaks
coral eyes that reached the farthest seas
you were a innocent child
one with big dreams but lived in a small town
no one really knew your fate
not even you
you woke up each dawn and walked into the forest
you were never scared of dark shadows
you welcomed them because you escaped your reality
they gave you hugs and wiped your tears with their false promises
in return, you gave them your precious heart
you saw the sunshine in every heart

Summer Child
Your violet hair and summer eyes
they drew me in on the first night
the same night that you told me
of moonlight dreams and sunrise mornings
you called us drifters
said you wanted to see every rainbow that touches the earth
and kiss the clouds on which your dreams float
you had scarlet lips
and my lips were burnt from the kisses of the sun
when your lips touched mine
I saw a million tiny stars
calling my name and drawing me closer into your heart

The Blackness Fades
My mind is a powerful place
so powerful that I nearly
lost my battle with it
It used to break me down
I was a ruined city for a while
and every time I tried to rebuild
I’d get torn down again
but I had a long talk
with my bruised brain
and we decided to get better
It didn’t take overnight
for healing takes time
and depression tried to lure
me back in
I couldn’t be a ruined city anymore
I wasn’t going to be defined...

Flaming Child
As your magenta eyes
and azure hair
fade into the blackness of the night
I wonder how I got so lucky
to be in your presence
who up in the cloudy skies
decided to bring us together
what fates figured that I,
a lonely child with flaming untangled hair
and wild silver eyes
needed a person like you
a person who isn’t wild like the beasts in the woods
but someone who is wild like the falling snow
a mysterious person that doesn’t need to be solved

To The People Who Mock "different"
You judge what you are afraid of
and yet you can’t be judged in return
you mock what you can’t understand
and yet you can’t handle being mocked in return
you look down on us for being different
all while proclaiming that differences make the world go ‘round
do you not see what is happening?
you are so blinded by the normal you see in your own mind
that you can’t possibly fathom the “un-normal”
normal shouldn’t exist in our world
and yet to you, it does
you want to live in a...

Sword and the Heart
How does the sword feel against the wounded heart?” (I asked as my heart beat out a rhyme against my chest)
he looked at me–the ache in his navy iris clear–and rested his fist against his empty soul
“Do not ask how it feels unless you want to experience the cold of the medal against your tight skin.”
(I stared at him, mouth open, for what other words could I possibly let slip past my bloodied tongue?)
“The scarlet ichor and the ruby eyes of the devil is what you see when that blade is against you.”
(This time I gasped but nothing else...

Lost Love
We had it all, my sweet
The world in our hands and the ground beneath our feet
We could be free birds soaring above our lonely little town
and nothing and no one could bring us down
You had a fiery crimson temper that not even my cobalt personality could put out
We’d often race to the hilltops and yell out to the skies
We climbed mountains and had the time of our lives
One day, awakened by the cold, I discovered you were gone
gone like the flowers to the winter storm
my heart cried out for you,...
