Fallen Brothers
Blood is life.
Your bloods have become our hero,
Your lives our heroine.
You took your stand and refused to bulge,
You bore the pains, unto memories,
Till you became symbols of courage and loyalty.
You smiled to your deaths, because you knew,
Your deaths are not in vain.
We miss you our fallen Benue brothers.
You proved that Ayatutu: ka se,
Our brotherhood beyond debate.
You gave your lives to protect our fatherland,
To protect our wives and children,
You became a fortress for our fathers and mothers.
We love...

The days have gone by
The position of the stars have shifted
And it seems like just yesterday
I cant find it where it was
My Star
My light
In a daze my heart still is
I dont understand
I cant understand
Oh, how your smile was like the rain
The feel of your hands like tender grass
Those slow and lazy walks,
No destination,
Nightly ambiance.
Though we said nothing,
I heard the things you never said.
For things I cant say,
So subtle, I never noticed,
The quarels began

I stand at the sea shore
At the same spot but,
The sea is getting turbulent
More than ever
I cant see through the mist
It's like a veil round my face
Everywhere I turn
I see your voice
The waves say nothing but your name
In the mist
Like the convergence of mirrors
Your face radiates its beauty to me
I try to touch your face
But it suddenly seems
Distorted.

I know you are near but,

I am the food you eat
And the earth you walk upon is me.

I remember
As I see your veiled face,
Trying to hide away from my daily trance,
Even through the veil, I remember your face,
I remember your soft blue eyes as you devoured my face,
The tears that filled them when we were in France,
How I could not resist the praise,
The flatterings of the Nigerian populace,
And I wish my heart were space,
Where we could burn our incence and sacrifice.
My chest tightens at your fragrance,
I remember the wettness on my conscience,
The day I let you jump over the fence
Trying to hide away from my daily trance,
Even through the veil, I remember your face,
