The Line

The days have gone by
The position of the stars have shifted
And it seems like just yesterday
I cant find it where it was
My Star
My light
In a daze my heart still is
I dont understand
I cant understand

Oh, how your smile was like the rain
The feel of your hands like tender grass
Those slow and lazy walks,
No destination,
Nightly ambiance.
Though we said nothing,
I heard the things you never said.

For things I cant say,
So subtle, I never noticed,
The quarels began
The shouting,
Screaming
The tears.
In the twinkling of an eye it fell apart
Right before my eyes the wall between us was built
You were adamant  and I was proud.
I drew my lines and I stayed behind them
On the other side of my line, there you lived.
You were famished and I was bereaved.

I never knew I will be crossing these lines,
Untill yesterday,
When I peeped through the wall
And I saw your profile;
And I knew I cant stay any longer
I had to cross my line.
