English Shalom
English Shalom to my Jewish friend
May our spiritual brotherhood never come to an end
As you practice Shabot I will watch your back
In your time of need I will prevent an attack
May we stand together
Side by side
May we face the evil
That comes in tides
Love and kindness are virtues we hold
Let us fight for our values
May our heroes be bold

To those who fall
I will mourn with you
At the wailing wall

Tears
My tears are cleansing
My tears are true
I cry these tears with thoughts of you
You save my soul
You keep me whole
For the battles I face take their toll
But I won’t waiver
And I won’t fall
For I have you
So I stand tall
My strength is building
My resolve is firm
I read the book
So I can learn
The day will come
When my time is done
But I shall not worry
For the war is won
My tears are true
I cry these tears with thoughts of you
You save my soul

CLAY
Words of clay
Are in my head
I form them as I please
I don’t seem to struggle
They come to me with ease
But I can’t take all the credit
For the potter
Sits on high
He comforts me
And strengthens me
Until my time nigh
So I pass along his blessings
To my fellow man in need
One drop of hope
Is like a rope
To a drowning man indeed
Are in my head

Deep
Deep into my darkness
The silence is so loud
From the deeds i’ve done
To the battles i’ve won
Nothing makes me proud
I wish I could start over
To have another try
But if I did
The reality is
It would all be one big lie
Time and space won’t let me
Try these things again
What I need to do
Is realize
It’s in the journey
That we find the win
So don’t lament past doings
For there is folly in regret
Look ahead to another day
It may be your best one yet
The silence is so loud

Wretched Man
Oh wretched man
Whose sin convicts
What folly do you ponder
The deeds you do
Throughout your day
Cause your soul to wander
You praise the Lord so earnestly
Early in the morning
By the time that night has fallen
You are full of hate and scorning
Oh wretched man
Get on your knees
Pray unto your Father
Let him help you change your ways
With his living water

Confined
I felt confined
In a mental cage
With dark thoughts
And moments of rage
The silence was deafening
As I laid in my bed
I could not help but wonder
If I was better off dead
How did I get here
What can I do
How do I get back
To the life I once knew
I had deep thoughts to ponder
Emotions to bare
A long road to travel
Until I get there
So I started my journey
One step at a time
I took all my failures
And just left them behind
In a mental cage
With dark thoughts
And moments of rage
The silence was deafening
As I laid in my bed

The Bomb
All is Quiet
All is Calm
Till the Bomber
Sings its song
whistling Down
Out of sight
The bomb explodes
With a thundering light
All is Quiet
All is calm
The bomb has
Sung its song
Some are saved
Some are not
Hiroshima
Is left to rot
Who has the power
Who is for sure
No one is safe now
There is no cure
All is Calm

Anniversary
Love is a song
That I shall sing
Love is a gift
That I shall bring
Love is the tears

Love is the memories
I can’t erase
We raised a child
Then there were two
When I look in their eyes
I think of you
A few years behind us
Many more ahead
Our marriage is more
Than just sharing a bed
So, I raise my glass
To offer a toast
To the one I care about
The very most
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Wonderful Thing
Every sin was a teardrop
That sat on my cheek
Loneliness
Saddened me
Week after week
My heart was frozen
In a silver thaw
I felt every emotion
That was open and raw
Then one day
As I wallowed in grief
Something occurred to me
That brought me relief
Why should I sit here
Lamenting my past
My sins are forgiven
From my first to my last

The Sunset
The sand is cool
The breeze is light
The sun is fading

The stars are sprinkled

Through the wisdom of my years
I learned to laugh between the tears
For challenge and victory come and go
It is up to you which one you stow
The quality of life that we are living
Is much enhanced by thoughtful giving
Is money and fame the only measure
Does your joy depend upon the weather
Let us sit and have some tea
Let some peace surround you
Let the world go its way
Just relax and ponder
Yet another glorious day
