POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
In the Void
And there I stood,
Not wanting to go nor stayed.
I was behind all the fast rushing trees,
Amidst the racing cars,
I stood still, not because I lacked,
But because, I was scared.
Not to be caught up in my flaws,
Nor to show other my claws.
Afraid they'd judge me,
For the monster in me.
It got a win, for not surging the race,
But for leading my pace.
But that monster you hide,
Is the true soul, till the end of the tide.

Some people feel like home.
But they don't seem that welcoming to their bone.
But for the people around, they are warm like a hug,
Not just a mere house.
They resolve the other person's cry, without heed.
But for them, it becomes buried.
Willowing out their vine,
not of hate but of relief, of comfort, of peace,
like the wild flowers in the forest's crease.
They sit alone, until acknowledged,
but once felt,
They become the winter's blanket.
But even when the blanket retire,
their presence lights up the bonfire.
