On the edge...
a familiar bleakness
snuck inside to
haunts the feelings,
yet surprisingly pleasant
I missed the things
I didn’t cherish it anymore
my soul denied
what my heart desired
I hesitated, I struggled
the eulogy of the past
been in my pocket
long enough to memorize
but I couldn’t read it aloud
now,
the grave is covered in weed
the pyre soaked and wet
and I stood there
one foot to the light
one foot on the past
...

what's the worth of the truth,
when it tears you apart
what's the cost of a lie,
if it lifts your heavy heart
can you measure happiness with smiles?
can you measure sadness with tears?
some lie to adorn a songs
but the emotions are real
brought you to its devotion
let your brokenness heal
you bled your pain screaming your guts out
a relapsing soul addicted to afflatus
music is a drug, and the song is the vessel
voice...
