The mouse looked across the room then back towards the door.
The mouse took a step forward before peering back over its shoulder.
The other mouse nodded and urged him forward.
The mouse took a few more steps and was soon on the other side of the door.
The mouse felt frightened.
It was time for him to leave the safety of the room and the security of the other mouse’s company.
It was time though.
The mouse felt ready beneath the fear.
As the mouse headed down the corridor he felt stronger than he had felt in a very long time.
It felt brave and determined....

This is a passing phase.
Soon, this too, shall go away.
The crippling sickness of panic and fear,
The implausible sadness depression makes clear.
They're all temporary like the leaves on the trees and uncomfortable phone calls.
They shall pass.
They will soon be gone.
They will clear space for other emotions.
Joy. Excitement. Happiness.
They're there waiting for the bad feelings to leave and make room.
The feeling caused by mental illness are nothing but temporary moods.

Sick once again
Sick in the brain
Can't think straight
Can't speak plain
Normality dreams are futile
It never remains
Past, present, future
All have factors I can blame
I want this fog lifted
It cloaks who I am
I'm sick of the cyclic thinking
That gets me stuck in this jam
They should mass produce happy
Sell it in a can
Then I could down some
When depressed angry or sad
The numbness that takes me and has me will remain
This illness always takes me
Time and time again
