Journey Of The Mouse

The mouse looked across the room then back towards the door.
The mouse took a step forward before peering back over its shoulder.
The other mouse nodded and urged him forward.
The mouse took a few more steps and was soon on the other side of the door.
The mouse felt frightened.
It was time for him to leave the safety of the room and the security of the other mouse’s company.
It was time though.
The mouse felt ready beneath the fear.
As the mouse headed down the corridor he felt stronger than he had felt in a very long time.
It felt brave and determined.
The more the mouse moved forward, the more he had to reassure himself that everything was ok, that he was ok and he was safe.
Only good things were ahead – all the darkness was behind him now.
The mouse noticed changes as he moved forward.
The corridor felt taller somehow and he seemed to be taking larger, more forceful steps.
The mouse looked down at his paws and noticed they had changed.
They were bigger and stronger.
His whole body felt larger and more powerful.
This made the mouse feel wonderful.
He was getting stronger.
The mouse reached the end of the corridor and it opened up to a large plain with the beautiful sun beating down on the lush, green grass.
The mouse broke into a run.
He felt fantastic.
After frolicking through the plains the mouse, feeling exhausted and joyous at his new freedom, found a small lake and decided to take a drink.
He peered into the water but the mouse was gone.
Instead the shaggy mane of a proud lion was peering back at him.
He lifted his head to the heavens and let out a roar.
He was going to be ok.
