POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Who Do You Think You Are?
Once the consistency is broken
So is the only view
I've ever learned to hold.
I've felt my dopamine drop faster than
The temperature in mid November
And frozen,
I watched it all unfold.
We all wish we had someone with the means
To show us how
The world is meant to run.
And here I am wishing my guilt
Would call in sick today
So I could carry it out
Without your falling out.
Alas, guilt is unrelenting.
My problem isn't that you don't care...
Quite the opposite, in fact.
Why can't you not give a shit? ...
