How sad (empty nest)
marriage should be about him and you
not an empty nest feeling nothing left
how sad that raising kids is all you feel you had
so from your wedding day today raising kids
sharing a bed you have nothing left
there is time left to build that relationship
where did those unbridled feelings go
before the kids and growing old
refresh that first night you met
start dating rekindle those feeling renewed
there was something special wasn't there then

the one that you fell in love
there has been days more than others
when you have felt more and some less
it hurt your heart those days that were less
and wish it could have been happily more
it's said absents make the love grow stronger
does a plant grow in the absents of water
so how can love grow stronger without the other
